The ERCU Messiah Club is a new, unique opportunity to support one of Edinburgh’s most loved new year traditions.

Every January since 1888, the Edinburgh Royal Choral Union has performed Handel’s Messiah and this popular Edinburgh tradition continues today.
It costs over £20,000 to stage Messiah at the Usher Hall. The ERCU Messiah Club has been set up help to ensure a sustainable future for the performance of Messiah and to assist with the running costs incurred by staging this great work. We are keen to ensure that this historic tradition continues for years to come and we desperately need your support to secure the future of this tradition.

The ERCU will greatly benefit from having a known source of income in advance of ticket sales that goes exclusively to cover the cost of Messiah. The income from every membership will contribute to allowing us to select professional musicians and soloists who will continue the reputation for choral excellence that the ERCU  works hard to maintain.  

For £25 a year, members will receive the following benefits:
·         A season brochure sent directly to you containing details of  when Messiah tickets go on sale
·         Advanced priority booking for Messiah tickets
·         One free programme at the performance of Messiah
·         10% discount on tickets 
·         1 free drink at the bar during the interval
·         Acknowledgement of support in the Messiah programme
