In 2000, the Edinburgh Royal Choral Union established the edinburgh youth choir as an outreach venture for young singers aged 11 to 24 from all over the city.  The eyc quickly established itself as a talented musical offspring providing vocal training through a variety of musical styles and now has some 60 members.  It is always keen to recruit new voices, especially in the 16 to 21 category.  Rehearsals are at Augustine United Church on George IV Bridge, Edinburgh on Tuesdays, 7pm to 9pm.
